Valentine Temptation

I think my only goal for tomorrow is to sleep in late and not feel guilty. This is a reward for keeping up my posts during an extremely action packed and busy week while keeping up one of my writing goals. The blog has worked wonders since I started a few years ago. This is one of my steady and trues.

You know what else I’m thinking about. How I told the cashier that my heart-shaped macaron’s would stay in the freezer until February 14th. Her parting words about how good and fresh they taste even thought their frozen have been haunting. Opening the freezer to look for mains and sides at dinner time is not helping.

Should I? I’m an adult and I can but I’m trying to hold off. My plans to save some goodies for holidays tend to get nibbled on or disappear before the day I’m supposed to wait. Then, I have to go with plan B because the local bakery or grocery store is all out of the speciality item.

I guess this means, I should check the store before their all gone. Cross your fingers for me because I usually pick out the most popular idea. When I return, the item I wanted to buy is usually gone. This happens at stores and craft shows. I can’t seem to help but pick out what everyone else wants.

My husband used to roll his eyes when I tell him it won’t be there later but after being with me numerous times and eating his own words, “It will be there later,” is shoved in his face, he doesn’t say a word. He might grumble but I’ve been right too many times. I’m smiling about that fact right now.

So maybe a trip to the grocery store is in order after a late morning. Let’s just hope my self control can keep my mind off the treat in my freezer for a few weeks.

Do you have a food weakness? What would happen if you reached into the freezer for one for one of the last boxes of heart shaped macarons only to meet the hands of an attractive stranger. Your plan was to sit in the dark on February 14th, sulking and eating the entire box yourself? How long do you stand there with the stranger? Let your fingers wander. Make it a date or a chance encounter. Write for 5-10 minutes.

Happy writing this weekend! Most posts are Monday through Friday!

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
