Humpday!

This week I opened the door and woke up to a world that belonged in Halloween land. The fog had rolled in and I couldn’t see more than a few houses down. I imagined what would happen if Mother Nature decided to indulge our fantasy worlds and Halloween turned foggy.

Taking the every day world you pass on your way to get gas or run errands and changing one element is an exercise that I haven’t done in a while. Affected by another NetFlix series I thought about Attorney Woo and flying whales. Imagine driving down the road and having a large shadow fly overhead to cover part of the neighborhood. What if it was a giant whale?

What if this happened on a Wednesday or humpday? I don’t know about you but it would make my day. This is why writers and artists should be allowed to design next Goodyear blimp. We could take that logo to a whole new level. Anyone can design a bubble but we would give it more character.

If you haven’t guessed already, make this your prompt for today. Take someone ordinary in your day and change one thing. Stretch your imagination. Write for 5-10 minutes while you let your imagination run wild.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
