Showtime!

The late nights this week have me droppy-eyed. The sacrifice of sleep for my art and my writing may mean that a few days off are in order. Yesterday I was too busy creating more miniatures until 2:00 in the morning and I missed my usual post time.

So, if you take a look at my post time, you’ll see a little after 2:00 am while I was waiting for my pieces to cure in the oven. The last minute ideas were just too good to ignore and I my fingers got a different kind of workout trying to sculpt pieces the size of a safety pin.

My world was filled with tiny mushrooms, fantasy nut houses, and fake moss. Then, my attention turned to the 3D printed food carts my husband created. I’m amazed at his progress each time I look at them. Imagine little food carts completed with wheels and a small roof. They were so cute I spent the late hours creating miniature ramen and sushi to go on top.

Luckily, I get one more day to catch up on my lack of sleep. I’m going to have to ask my husband to force a curfew on me so that I’m not up all night again. Looking at the Geek Craft Expo social media, I might be in trouble because all of the other creators have the most amazing pieces of work. Hopefully, I can restrain myself and don’t spend all my hard earned money.

Don’t worry, I’ll get in some writing because there’s bound to be other weird, crazy, and other worldly kind of people at this kind of Expo. I hope I see some great cosplay costumes. I might even turn some of the things I see into writing prompts. Wish me luck over the next few days. If you’re in Minneapolis and near the convention center on Saturday and Sunday. I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
