Anniversary Moments

The weekend is finally here and I haven’t posted a prompt in while. Lately, I’ve been surrounded by artisan made cards at The Art Shoppe and at events and it gave me a new idea for a prompt. Actually, I thought of a couple I ran into at random at a store.

My husband and I were walking the aisles trying to pick out a card when I ran into a couple having the greatest time looking at cards together. I finally made a comment about how much fun they were having and they told me that they had a tradition. They go and look at cards together on their anniversary and pass them back and forth to each other. They don’t actually buy the cards for each other, they just read them to each other and then leave.

I thought the tradition was a little odd and considering that I make cards to sell, I don’t think I’m a fan. But there was an idea in there. This weekend when you’re out and about pick up a greet card and read it. If it doesn’t have words use the visual. Now it has to be random. You don’t have to buy but you do need to write about it for 5 – 10 minutes.

My posts are Monday through Friday.
