Spring Into Uptown

One day before the event and I’m running around again. Checking tote once, twice, and a third time. I tell myself I can create one more piece because I like staying up all night and having blood shot eyes from lack of sleep at events. No really, this is my normal. I’m tired but there.

In today’s blog, I included the event details because I am inviting those who can come to stop by my table. If you tell me you read this in my blog, I’ll give you a free surprise. Okay, I know this is Minnesota cheese but tell a writer or creator where you heard of them and they’ll feel like a rock start. I do this when I’m at events if I run into someone I follow. This is one way to help someone know how you found out about them and let’s them know what’s working. I’m telling you this because most of us start out not having a clue.

I am declaring this weekend – small or local business support weekend. Go out this weekend and support other people in your area. Care about your community. Stop in and make someone’s day. I’ve kept this practice with my husband. We go up to the vendors who don’t have people standing at their tables and buy something. We’ve gotten hugs and many thank you’s from creators, and it makes everyone feel good.

We need to keep supporting other people’s dreams because we also have them. Someone needs to support you, and someone else needs your support. Never forget this as you go about your daily life. Too many “that’s life” events happen in the world and we need to change the feeling of that quoted phrase.

You have the power to change someone’s life by supporting them. So change the world, and make it for better.

Come visit our table this weekend. We’ll be in the artist area in Uptown in Minneapolis, Minnesota for Spring into Uptown, from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
