The calendar and event planning is still taking place as my husband and I sign up for events throughout the year to reach our goal with are handmade clay miniatures and 3D printed decor. Climbing the mountain is still a daunting task, but I always fall back to my prompting advice.
I tell myself to take one step at a time and not to look too far up or down so that I don’t freeze in place. The bigger the dream, the more daunting it can feel. I have all the same doubts pop into my head as other people who set out to pursue their dream. Is my dream truly possible?
Every time I open my social media I see people in different places pursuing what they want out of life. My leaps aren’t over canyons, or huge divides. I baby step and toe dip before I make my first leap. The goal for my husband and I is to have both of us shift our full time jobs out of a corporate 9 – 5.
This means more time for writing and for art, and not struggling to make ends meet. The build-up is slow but steadier due to actually having a plan that started last year. The fact that I actually put in more effort to step-up in other areas after seeing that I could continue to blog consistently created one more leap.
I can only hope that one leap of creativity leads to another, and another until I’ve reached the next point in my journey. The exciting part is not know what kind of journal or book this year will bring.
If you’re looking to finish something this year, then push yourself to get started. It will help you propel forward, and having a plan for those days when you’re not inspired will also help.
Until tomorrow
