I’m racing against the clock tonight and I have half an hour to spare before I turn into a pumpkin again. I just spent all day adding the finishing touches to all my pieces on a few hours of sleep today. I feel out like a zombie, and it fits with all of my Halloween themed miniatures.
My boxes are stacked up and ready to go to our event at Surly Brewing Co. in Minneapolis from 11-6 pm. Stop by booth #48 under their big tent if you want to visit. I may not have room for my books this time but you can see all the time I spent on graveyards and witch hats. This year I tried some new techniques and made some new creations to expand my normally Kawaii type art into something more adult. Maybe all of my fantasy writing exercises helped the past few years.
Now, I’m leaning into the world of fairies, gargoyles, and a little steampunk. My new miniatures have gone dark and I feel a few vampire stories coming. I’m tired but excited to see what else other artisans will bring and my social media may have a few video clips. Having a space of 6×5 was a challenge and I have to make 2 trips instead of one this time. I have no idea if this work or if it will be a nightmare but I hope we have enough time to set up.
Well, I need to get some sleep after my power naps all week and no real rest. Sorry this is so short but I have too much work to do this week. Your prompt for this weekend is to go out and get inspiration from the events around you. Walk through the holiday aisles at stores. Don’t buy like me but takes photo references and then write about one of them for 5-10 minutes. Until next week!
My posts are Monday through Friday.
