Showtime Sweet

Tonight, I’m sitting in a restaurant booth at an Irish pub across from First Avenue in Minneapolis awaiting the showtime of musician, Phillip Saint John. My husband and I met him during an outdoor event for The Art Shoppe as he purchased one of our handmade kimonos.

Of course we had to attend his show to hear him play and get photos for Al those connected to our art community. This event also makes a perfect date night for me and the hubby. Not to mention that I’ve grown up here and have never been inside the legendary venue.

I’m excited to listen to new artists and hopefully I can share some videos on my videos. Deciding to help at a store for local artists has been one of the best decisions I’ve made. Surrounding yourself with inspiration and creativity definitely helps. You’ll probably hear more later.

Don’t worry I didn’t forget your prompt. I’m sitting in front of a lava cake and thinking of fair sweets. Use the word sweet and write for 5-10 minutes.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
