Inspiration and Exploring

The months are flying by faster than I can type and I’m thinking about my year goals. The mid-year marker is almost here and I only have a few chapters typed out with random pieces of other chapters. Summer is definitely going to be my crunch time. I see myself traveling to different locations to get in some more typing time. My notepad is going to be my new accessory so that I keep the thoughts flowing.

Writing isn’t all that’s on my mind this week. I have some new products launching in my online store this weekend, and I have a new used car arriving this weekend. My little tin can finally decided to call it quits and I’m sad because I had it for 20+ years. I’ve gone without some bells and whistles, and I know how everything works. A new car means that I have to learn all over again. So if you’re on the road, look out! I’m going to be like a new driver out there. Hold off on your horn! It might be me.

You know what else I’m going to miss? Not having a car payment with higher insurance costs. Yikes. I guess I just have to go with it because the market is not in favor of the buyer. I cringe thinking about the payment but life always happens. I’m just lucky I got to wait this long.

Since I have to test out my new tin can, I might take a small road trip around to some new places for inspiration. The cost might deter me from shopping stops. I just joined this group on facebook, called quirky places in Minnesota. Maybe I’ll end up at a few this weekend. If I do, you know I’ll share how it went with you.

In keeping with our theme for this week, there is no prompt. Just spend the weekend exploring and gathering up new ideas for your stories. Let out a little poetry. I’ll be back next week.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
