Marching Out

I’m ready to march out of this month and into a warmer month. Our yo-yo weather that happens when season begin to change really do give us cabin fever in Minnesota. When we think it’s going to warm up, it snows the next day. Those who don’t live here will think they’ve moved somewhere extreme because we can get all the seasons in one day up here as the we move into spring.

Sometimes I feel like Mother Nature is on my cycle because there are days when I can’t make up mind about what I want or how I feel. Life can go from high to low in one day. I can feel the rush after I make a sale or get good feedback from peers, then someone else can suck me into their drama or there’s just people who are mean for no reason.

This weekend I spoke with a friend, who I hope doesn’t mind that I share, but she’s being bullied by one person at work. I asked her if we, her friends, needed to come up there for support? I felt a TikTok episode coming on but I held back. I always tell people to be kind instead of the other option, and I try to follow my advice but sometimes those mean people need to be put in their place.

They told my friend they picked on her because they can. I told my friend there’s a reason work places are called an adult daycare. There’s always at least 1 bully. If anyone else has advice on what to do that will stop a bully without going to jail, then let me know so that I can share it. The worst part is most people will either join in or not say anything when they witness this happening. All those times when writers write about the popular person turning around and hitting the person giving the nerd crap. That’s what needs to happen.

I want to rally around her and send her good thoughts to deter the work bully. Because of this issue that happened with my friend, I want all writers reading to to create a writing prompt where the Bully is stopped. Share the prompt and tell other people why it was today’s writing prompt.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
