Big or Small

Last night I had a reality check. I’m a grown adult and I was pouring miniature glasses of beer filled with shamrocks, leprechaun hats, and all things Irish sprinkles. I was in the middle of pouring yellow colored resin into the tiny beer glasses and I had to laugh to myself.

I couldn’t even take a sip of the magically delicious looking drink because I was making keychains for Saturday’s Event. Then, I moved onto making eraser tip sized matcha cups and saki holders. My tiny world makes me wonder. I’m not tallest in the world, so I probably do see things from a different perspective.

Tall people are the ones that reach things for me at the grocery store so that I don’t have to climb the shelves, even if I do that often. Turning the corner you might find me climbing shelves like a child to reach what I want, which is always on the top. It’s hard for me to picture passing by people and seeing the tops of their heads.

All this disproportion made me think of today’s prompt. Picture yourself taller, shorter, bigger, or smaller. Think about how your world might change. Then, write for 5 – 10 minutes.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
