Are your hands and fingers tired from filling in all those plot holes for the past few days? Feel like you could use a reward before the end of Preptober because of your dedication? During a monthly challenge I build in days that keep us working on your prompts but that give our brains a rest.
Rest means different things to everyone. For some it means a day off from writing. It could also mean a day of reading or working on a different story. Day #27 is going to be our free day. Following schedule and being told not put your pens down may not be easy for some us. This is your day to work on whatever you want, as long as you work in something.
If something is still bothering you about your story, now is the time to fix it. Go back to a day when you wanted to keep writing. Let loose. The point of today is not to go into a writing frenzy. I don’t want you to burn out before next month because you get all of November to fill in the rest of the pages.
Today can be about working on details, doing more research, or tweaking until you feel good. Go back to a previous exercise that we’ve done work on it again. Don’t let go of the reason you started this story. You’re too close to the end of a milestone for your story. Keep going!
My posts are Monday through Friday.
