Friday Scramble

Friday is here and the great scramble is on this evening to try to get everything ready for our weekend flea market. I created a few more miniature sculptures and the only worry is being able to beat the heat for the next few days. I might even go in search of portable fans to help cool off under our tent. I also hope the heat wave doesn’t deter everyone looking for that unique kind of treasure.

I’ll be at the Stillwater Minnesota Flea Market again. If you’re in the area and stop by let me know that you’ve ready one of my blogs or social media posts so that I can reward you!

The beginning of my weekend is ending on a positive note because I managed to continue my blog during a show week. Having a change of focus from imaginary characters on paper to 3D miniatures has given me a boost. There’s something about being able to touch something real that sparks that helps with character develop in a different way. I think it’s activating a different part of the brain and senses.

Remember, some of my prompts have been about touch because I think that working with different parts of our brain helps keep our minds healthy. I always say that we should be adding more wrinkles to our gray matter. Speaking of that I have to add making new miniature brains for my Halloween collection to my list. All this heat has me thinking about cool fall weather. Then, it’s a little prayer that the big winters storms go around us up here.

Well, you know what I’ll be doing late into the night. I have tent weights to fill with sand and packing and re-packing to do before showtime! Next week, I’m planning on carving out time for some of my books waiting in the background.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
