Going 3 Dimensional

My evening didn’t go quite as planned because I got a call from a business partner that needed some quick changes to their website. I’m all for helping someone else build up their business so I changed priorities so that they could add new features to their website. This could impact a potential speaking job so let’s all wish them a good business experience.

With some of my time gone I pushed my fingers to the limit today by attempting to sculpt baby Yoda but I might need a 2nd attempt on the face because baby is looking more adult. My fingers are little stiff from all the miniature sculpting but it’s all to push myself before show day.

Finally, late into the night I’m at my keyboard to write down my experiences for the day. I’m thinking about how I can bring some of the creatures from my other world story into reality through sculpture. Sometimes having real 3D reference can help me get with realistic details of a story. In other words, I’m working on building a 3D visual display instead of a storyboard with photos.

Since Halloween seems to be trending already on social media, I guess my timing couldn’t be more perfect. This kind of visual display helps me give your next prompt. Take an item around you and create a story in 5-10 minutes. It doesn’t have to be earth shattering. The point of my prompts is to keep your writing wheels oiled and to help you stretch your imagination.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
