The weekend is here and I’m having trouble focusing today. I don’t really feel like doing anything but my blog and new YouTube channel for my other business is calling my name. Most of all, I’m not feeling very inspired.
What do I do when I’m not feeling the itch of my pen? I rely on my practice of using prompts. I share them in my journal at the bottom. When you have trouble with getting anything down on the page, then using an exercise can help get rid of any blocks. The point is to keep your pen in motion.
I thought I would do some research today and find some new inspiring quotes about writing to share with everyone. One of my go-to resources popped up in my search. Writer’s Digest shared 72 quotes about writing so that you don’t have to feel alone in your journey.
The one I’m writing down in here is by Natalie Goldberg. “Writer’s live twice.”
Writers get to build lives, worlds, and characters that can feel like best friends. Watching one of my shows, and following the screen writer, I was cheering on his plot. His words turned into some masterpiece that had me cheering after the ending because of what he accomplished during his career. Those words will live on and on as they are replayed.
What is your goal for today? Live twice today! Write, even if it’s just for 5 minutes. Read them again if you feel like you need another life. Save yourself.
