Anyone hear that sound? It’s me and the crickets are getting too loud. Before I fall off the writing bandwagon I thought I would make a post. The summer sizzle can take a lot out of someone who thinks napping is a hobby.
The fact that most of the days of the week are spent creating art pieces for shows on the weekend, I haven’t had very much time to get my writing in. Despite being short on writing time, I’ve been thinking about ways to publish again.
After picking up more writing and sketching journals, I think I might go with a shorter term publishing project. Not all books have to be filled with pages and pages of words. This might be one way to help satisfy my writing muse but it never replace a full length novel.
For some odd reason, I’ve found light bulb moments about my script while I’ve been driving around town doing errands. So, if you see me talking to myself in the car, it’s because I’m trying to take mental notes before I forget my idea.
Sometimes inspiration comes at the most unexpected times. One way to help the ideas or story spill over faster is to keep those notebooks handy. Just don’t write and drive at the same. Audio notes are okay as long as both hands are on the wheel and your eyes are on the road.
Your prompt for this week is to take some time and journal. Get out those thoughts so that they don’t have to surprise you in the car. Stay on the writing bandwagon.
I’ll be back again next week with another post!
