Day #24: Plot Hole Day

I’m driving through the streets in the suburbs of Minneapolis, Minnesota and trying not to feel down about the leaves that fell into the street after a windy day. More of the bright reds, oranges, and yellows were stripped from the trees and I’m bracing for the cold.

To my horror, the white stuff has already flurried and covered my car once so the initial shock has worn off. Yet, every year I ask myself if it’s time to move somewhere warm but I’m still here. On the bright side, writing those beautiful fall and winter stories won’t have to be imagined. Instead of knowing one season, I get them all up here.

I suppose I should get to our exercise for today. Congratulations! We’re on our last week! We’re on Day #24 and building on yesterday’s untwisting, we’re going to fill in those plot holes we found. Yes, there is a reason for the order to all the steps we’re taking. Get out those notes and flags and get to work. Add in the detail that you need.

Change, update, and fix what you do have written out. Then, let your fingers rest. We still have a week to go.

My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
