Under the Weather

Ever have one of those days when you feel like curling into a ball all day?  Well, that was me yesterday.  I was under the weather and I’m still trying to get to 100% again.  Fall is definitely here and every time there’s a change in season my body protests.  I had plans to get things done and cross off my list as we inch closer to coat season.

Yes, I’m up in the middle of the night again typing because my body was so worn out during the day that I didn’t get anything else.  I was in the black and didn’t wake up once, not even when my alert went off for texts.  I guess I needed the rest.  My catlike position all day better heal whatever’s going on because I don’t have time for this.

Having a reason to write really created a daily discipline for me, and I feel a little proud.  The days of not being able to type a word are long gone after challenging myself.  Despite the way I feel, I’m smiling because I typed one thing today.  Tonight, is all about making toast, typing, and then going back to bed to get through this week feeling a better than I did yesterday.

I smell the sides of the bread and my jam is calling.  No matter what, keep writing even if it’s a few lines.  Create the discipline of writing every day even when you don’t feel 100% to stay on track.  I’m off to get some food in my stomach.

I’ll share my results from Preptober next month.  My posts are Monday through Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
