The end of July is a day away and I feel like a TikTok. I have a long to-do list but you know what I did – “I took a nap”. Yes, all those on TikTok can hear the music playing in the background. I closed my eyes last night before dinner and woke up an hour later.
What was my plan for the evening? I was going to make a few new sculptures to see if I wanted to add them into my creator box. Well, things don’t always go as planned. Luckily, before my eyes closed I ordered my supplies for my miniature sculptures. I also reviewed past creations of comic characters that I created out of clay. Realized that my art prints will arrive a few days before the deadline, and thought – this is normal.
Published writers, you understand the need to set and meet deadlines. Feeling the pressure is a good thing in our industry because you know you have work.
Imagine the authors out there writing like they have a thesis due the next day to make their deadlines. Readers, publishers, and best seller lists are waiting. Instead of a writing prompt today, I’m curious this Friday. My question to you is – what have you done to meet deadlines? I want to know – share and comment.
Today’s post is shorter but there will be more next week. I’m off to the Art Shoppe again tomorrow to check stock levels and sign a few more books.
My posts are Monday through Friday. You can find a copy of my new Writer’s Journal at https://www.amazon.com/Writers-Journal-Writing-Prompts-Notes/dp/B0931QRL7C.
