Happy Mother’s Day!

Friday is finally here and my post for today is dedicated to the mother’s in my life.  First is the woman who cared enough about my life to choose to give birth to me, and second is the woman who choose to become my mother through adoption.  Both women were needed to give birth to me in different ways.    Thank you for giving me opportunity and life!

We all meet different women who influence our lives.  Some are teachers, mentors, mothers, friends, and yes sometimes they are women who aren’t so nice to us.  I hope you choose to uplift your fellow females this weekend.  Give life and inspiration.  Sometimes being a role model is showing others how to be kind to each other.

Write strong female characters that break boundaries, inspire others to become better people, and stand for being themselves.  Break down old stereotypes in your scripts.  Let’s rewrite ourselves because we are amazing, wonderful, and we deserve roles that don’t force us to be superwoman or weak.

For those who may feel down because they aren’t a mother in the traditional sense – become a mother to someone in need. “Adopt” a friend for the weekend. Help someone in need who maybe didn’t have a loving mother. Be that person in other ways.

Thank the women in your life this your life this weekend!  Happy Mother’s Day to us all.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
