Day 4 of One Paragraph

Good thing I typed up some extra paragraphs earlier this week because I received a call to help out with a project at the art shop. The shop’s move from one side of the building to another meant better traffic and business but rebuilding shelving units and trying to figure out what to do with the space is an ongoing experiment.

The fresh start after years of being in one location improved lighting, wall space, and a better aesthetic. That feeling is one of the reasons I play around with the corners of my own home. Old can feel new again with a fresh coat of paint and having a space that lift your spirits can give you more energy that feed into your projects.

If you’re still feeling stuck after writing for the past three days, then change your environment. Go to a safe haven, a hidden corner and try it again. Sometimes we have to do some strange things to keep ourselves out of writer’s block. I need to take my own prompts and put them back into my art. My body and mind and resisting my many deadlines. My motivation to keep going has been a struggle.

I’ve reached one peak of a chain of mountains and the elevation only gets higher. I have tried to stop being so hard on myself for having ups and downs like a human. I’ve also taken off some of the pressure be to super human. Some days there’s one paragraph, one or two pieces of art, and one blog at a time.

My days when I do extra make up for days when I can’t get as much done. So, don’t be too hard on yourself if doing a writing prompt is a struggle. Just commit to fitting it in at some point in your week. You still have time this weekend.

This is day 4 of your “One Paragraph”. There’s no limit on your time. Keep going if you need to make up a few days. Just try to finish it before the weekend is over. Think about the feeling you had when you finished a writing challenge before. You know you can over the starting line. The point of my blog is to get things going even if your words feel like dribble in the beginning because the only way to reach our potential is to keep going.

Happy Writing this weekend! My posts are Monday to Friday!
