The Big One

After hearing and reading so many dystopian stories, I needed a break and wanted to think of a brighter future. I delved back into fantasy worlds and romance. Then, after recent seismic events around the world, I started to watch a video called “Deadly Pacific”.

According to experts our universe is supposed to be about for a many years that my own brain can’t comprehend. My question after watching all the potential scenarios of earthquakes and eruptions that could go beyond what we can register is will we still be here?

All the broken records of Mother Nature is not giving me a lot of hope. When did I last tell people I love them? Okay, I shouldn’t stress because if some event that goes beyond any scales that we have happens, there’s not much I can do about it. But it does make ask if I’m living my best reality? Have I done everything that I don’t want to take to the graveyard?

This might sound grim but it’s a question everyone should ask as some point in their life. Just hope it’s not at the end. To be honest, I know I still have things left to do.

This might be too heavy for you on a Tuesday and I understand but on the bright side, as a writer and artist I have an outlet. There might be some extra umph in drive to get that novel done and finish some more pieces. I guess I’m telling myself to stress and not stress. In other words, I need to live my best reality now.

If I’m not, then I better get moving so that I’m closer to that place that might seem like fantasy now. Don’t get too down by my words today, just think about what’s important to you and embrace the dream you have so that it becomes reality sooner than later.

I’m off to finish my video. You never know what this might do to my writing.

My posts are Monday to Friday.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
