Easter weekend is meant to give us all hope and the feeling of rebirth. I wish everyone a moment of peace and renewal as we start April. After a year of writing consistently again, there is light at the end of this tunnel and a celebration comes at the right time. A rebirth is here in my publishing schedule.
A year go, I came up with the crazy plan of starting a 30 day writing prompt before Preptober and NaNoWriMo in the fall. Every day for a month I posted my writing prompt results on my Facebook Page and then I started by blog. Writing 7 days a week wasn’t easy. I found myself falling back into bad habits that only lead to burn-out, so I scaled back to 5 days a week for my blog.
I spent hours on research, taking classes online from MasterClass, and actually practicing what I learned by starting over on two my novels. Something unexpected happened from this new journey.
One day I looked at my long log of writing prompts, notes from class, and my research and thought what about other people having the same struggle? I started building everything I did to get back on track into a new book. This is all part of the future plan. One complete book will only lead to another.
The most important part of all of this was the realization that I didn’t feel like curling into a ball. I created healthier writing habits that grew and developed my stories without ditching my passion.
I’m please to announce that my book was ready for final proofing last night. All 216 pages are formatting and styled. This isn’t meant to be anything fancy or fictional. This new book is meant to help other writers build their own resources and work on their own writing.
May your writing revival begin!
Follow as I post on my progress throughout the month and share the experience.
