Day #24 of NaNoWriMo – German Fairy Tales
I was on the road again today and listening to a new book about shifters. This was more mild in content that some Adult books but it was part of my research on other authors who write about the same genre.
The gears in my mind started to turn as I listened to the protagonist – a strong-willed, high tempered, female attorney who resists her love interest in the story. The conflict is filled with sexual tension.
I want my character to be a strong female and hero type who doesn’t need saving. Well, not all the time. Let’s be real. We all need help sometimes and I want her human element to shine through.
That being said, My Little Red Riding hood with a modern twist is on her way to her new place of employment instead of grandma’s house. She will also meet more than one big bad wolf right from the start. But she will also rescue one on the way. An orphan who doesn’t know what who he is and this will earn her some respect with her new co-workers.
