Birthday Wishes

This week the app that I use to create all my blog posts decided to act up and not sync consistently. I’ve had to start over with some of my writing and posts. Good thing I have one of my birthday presents early this week! Happy Birthday to myself today! Hopefully, this weekend’s event will turn into an extended celebration.

I’m still working out ways to reduce my stress and sleepless nights during the weeks when I have a show for my for artwork. It’s still a work in progress but I did manage to get in a few posts this week even if it was in the middle of the night.

Last night, I decided to do one more so that I could spend the day celebrating and not worried about adding one more year to my age. I can only hope that I’m another year wiser and only in the beginning of my creative journey. In the past few years, my artwork has transformed into miniature worlds and the fact that I have more than a few published journals and books completed remind me of how far I’m come. Knowing that I can actually accomplish some of the goals I set for myself that felt impossible at one time, continues to drive me forward.

Whether you’re in your birthday month or not, I encourage you to continue working toward your own goals in whatever you want to do. Don’t let one day, or night of wondering if you’ll ever accomplish anything get to you. Just pick up your pen and keep going. What you think is dribble might become the draft of your book.

Find ways to renew the mystery and magic of your pen. I don’t know about you but I’m off to go treat myself this weekend. This is also your final prompt for the week. Explore and treat yourself.

My Monday through Friday posts will return regularly at the end of May!
