The middle of the night passed and decisions needed to be made for tomorrow’s due date. You understand if you participate in events. I can’t haul everything with me, and some things decided not to work at the last minute. I have one additional piece that won’t be finished until after the 4th of July, and after sleepless nights – I’m okay with that.
You can guess what I’ll be doing this weekend. I wish all of you a Happy 4th of July too!
Today’s post is a an invitation to an art show and book signing on July 10th at 12:30 pm. You can find me at 920 E Lake St, Midtown Global Market in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Fellow art and food lovers will be stopping by The Art Shoppe.
Provided some pieces aren’t sold out, you might get to take a look at the pieces that have been keeping me up for the past few weeks. There are original paintings, dragon sculptures, and more prints of my work.
If you’re a fellow artist as well as a writer, I invite you to take a look. Over 100 local artists are connected to our place. They support beginning artists and different cultures.
Anyone who’s been following my blog, can stay for a while and maybe we can do a writing prompt together. I used to meet with another writing group on Saturday mornings. One person drew a subject from a box and we all passed around the microphone after a set time of 2-10 minutes. Sharing was optional but encouraged. What amazed me was how every person at the table had their own style and genre. There were several times when we all laughed at someone else’s sense of humor.
Well, now you know where my writing prompts started. I’ll see you around Minneapolis for the next few months. Stop in and we can talk art and books.
