Story Telling Day!

Anyone have too many green beers yesterday?  My celebration quiet and at home like many other people this year.  No parades or festivities in Minnesota.  I did see a few TikTokers sharing their dances.  Maybe they had a few too many.

Another holiday for Minnesotans means we are one step away from shedding another layer of coats.  Our last blast was smaller than our neighboring States to the West and the storms that went around us this year won’t be missed.

Thinking of warm sunny days. I’m continuing this week’s holiday celebrations with another Irish Poet, Eavan Boland. Eavan is one of the few internationally recognized female poets who we lost in 2020. She wrote about her culture, history, and womanhood.

The important part is that we hear her voice to carry on the traditional of story telling. This is also an exercise that I use when I’m not getting an image, a picture for my writing. I change methods from written word to verbal. Close your eyes, listen and ask what you can see, hear, smell and touch. Think about how you feel and write for 5-10 minutes. You can find today’s poetry at https://youtu.be/VQ3Ux_NBvoM .

Follow as I post on my progress throughout the month and share the experience.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
