Winter Weekend in Minnesota

The weekend is here and class will begin again on Monday through Masterclass Online.  We’re only a few weeks away from Christmas in Minnesota and the ground is clear in the Twin Cities.  The temperature outside is still hovering around freezing but I decided to get in some exercise this weekend. I don’t know about other writers out there but I need physical exercise to keep my brain awake and active.

How do we do this during the winter up North?  I headed indoors to Mall of America.  Everyone is wearing their mask and seating inside restaurants is closed but you can still order take out.  Stores are still open but I kept on walking and windowed shopped.

In normal times, MOA would be wall to wall with shoppers but there’s room to walk and breathe safely on the weekends.  The smaller crowds are tough on the economy but it’s nice to walk around without feeling like one large herd of cattle forced to move in one direction.  A few stops for something to drink and a snack kept me going and I clocked 5 miles at the beginning of winter.

I hope you find your own way to beat those winter blues out there!  I’m back at the keyboard again tonight working on my novel.

Follow again on Monday for our next lesson with MasterClass Online.

I’m an author in Minnesota who started out writing and illustrating Children’s books. I’ve published poetry and adult Romance Novels. I created my website and social media to reach out to other writers because the process can be lonely. I wanted to reach out to readers, writers, and those with a dream of finishing “that” novel. I share the advice of other writers and the tools I use to create my stories.
