Day #17 of NaNoWriMo – Travel Days
It’s time to take a deeper dive into my characters.
I asked the simple question, what creates relationships?
Shared experiences create our relationships.
What better way to create a shared experience than a road trip with Nerdy, Particular, Science Majors.
Day number one has them taking off from Minneapolis International Airport. All of them have on their color coordinated t-shirts from the International Wolf Center, in Ely, Minnesota.
Our main protagonist is the odd girl of the group. She finds that the “buddy” who matches her blue t-shirt is their new team leader and he looks annoyed to be there. Picking up newbie research assistants seems beneath him.
Did I mention that this Alpha male is also book cover worth? Too bad he isn’t a good mood the first day. He doesn’t like detours or people who don’t follow orders. Not to mention that he’s met his mate but is in denial.
We’ll see what happens on their drive to the small town of Ely, Minnesota.
I’m about to throw some heart pumping action in their direction. A four hour ride will give them Instagram moments, unusual storms, and road closures. And not to mention a fog that brings them nightmares or plays on their fantasies.
Who will sleep walk? Who will almost drown? Which room will get steamy?
